Often, our blessings are a path to greater generosity. Sometimes, our harvest is merely a more excellent seed for a more generous harvest. Paul expresses to the church at Corinth that whoever sows sparingly reaps sparingly, but whoever sows bountifully reaps bountifully. Often, the blessings of God are meant to flow through our lives to others. Paul wants the Corinthians to catch this vision: the more they “plant” out of their blessings in true, Christ-like love, the more incredible their generosity and “thanksgivings” to God.
