The unique tone and rhythm of the words in chapter 13 stand in contrast to Paul's writing in chapter 12 and moving ahead to chapter 14. This tone change inspires us to consider the possibility that these words were added later; however, I am convinced Paul was intentional with his change of tone. Why? Because he wants us to understand the significance of love--agape love.
