The disciples saw the resurrection as a seal of approval for everything Jesus said throughout His earthly ministry. Before this event, God had referred to Jesus as His Beloved Son, in Whom He was well pleased (Matthew 3:17; 17:5). After being raised from death, Jesus sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high (Hebrews 1:3). Furthermore, Jesus’ resurrection fulfilled all the prophecies He had given.
